Orbán spoke about an organized population replacement and a naked Soros empire at CPAC Hungary

Donald Trump's election victory has brought about a civilizational shift, Viktor Orbán said at the CPAC Hungary conference on Thursday. Speaking at the Budapest gathering of European far-right politicians, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that it was time for Europeans to follow the Americans and reclaim their dreams. The head of government outlined a four-point patriotic plan for Europe, but admitted that sovereigntist forces must first win elections in their own countries before they can take Brussels.
US President Donald Trump greeted Orbán and the participants of the conference in a short video message ahead of the Hungarian Prime Minister's speech. In the message recorded in the Oval Office, Trump called Orbán a “great man” who, in his opinion, is “highly respected by everybody.”
At the beginning of his speech, Orbán said that the sovereignist politicians in attendance, who are fighting for their homelands, have been subjected to numerous attacks and smear campaigns. “European liberals would break down in tears, run away and hide behind the skirts of progressive journalists if they were subjected to half as many attacks,” the Prime Minister opined.
According to the head of the Hungarian government, Trump's election victory in 2024 brought about enormous changes worldwide. The “Trump tornado” restored hope for the world, saved us from drowning in a “sea of wokeness” and from being overrun by migrants, Orbán said.
Orbán said that during his first 100 days in office, Trump exposed the “global liberal network,” including undercover agents, shadow entities, money laundering schemes, and the financing of politicians in foreign countries, including Hungary. “The entire Soros empire now stands before us naked. The king is naked – and it's quite an ugly sight,” joked the Prime Minister.
“Light is finally penetrating even the darkest corners. And even here in Hungary, this has resulted in frantic squealing. Here is the new law: anyone involved in politics must not accept money from abroad. It's as simple as that,”
Orbán declared, referring to the recently tabled Russian-style bill, designed to make the operation of NGOs and the independent media in Hungary virtually unfeasible.
Moving on to another topic, the Prime Minister then spoke about the “organized replacement of populations” going on in Europe, which has resulted in Europeans “becoming strangers” in their own homes.
According to Orbán, there are two plans on the table for the future of Europe: one is liberal, the other is patriotic. According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, the pro-war, centralized, globalist plan must be rejected. Instead, he proposed the patriotic alternative, which he outlined in four points:
- We want peace. We do not need a new eastern front, and therefore we do not need Ukraine to be a member of the European Union.
- We want sovereignty. We do not want common taxes, we do not want joint loans.
- We must defend freedom. We must give the people back the freedom of politics, thought and opinion.
- We want to take Europe back from the migrants. We want a Christian culture, and streets and neighborhoods free of fear.
According to Orbán, for the plan to succeed, “sovereignist” parties must first achieve election victories in their own countries and then join forces in Europe. If right-wing forces win in Poland this weekend, then in the Czech Republic in the fall, in Hungary next spring, and in France in 2027, they will be ready to take Brussels back into the hands of patriots.
Orbán asked for Donald Trump's help in the European struggle. According to him, dismantling the “transatlantic deep state” and cutting off the American liberal “money taps” are key to conquering Brussels.
"After America, we Europeans will also reclaim our dreams and take back Brussels. Let's make Europe great again!" Orbán said, concluding his speech.
What is CPAC Hungary?
On May 29-30, the Center for Fundamental Rights, (Alapjogokért Központ), an organization heavily funded by public funds, is hosting the fourth CPAC Hungary conference in Budapest. CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) has been the annual gathering of the American right wing since the 1970s. However, in the last decade, they have begun to expand and have lent their name to several smaller right-wing conferences around the world.
Although CPAC is a conference of the American right wing, just like in the past three years, the Center for Fundamental Rights has not managed to bring any leading American politicians to Budapest this year either. Just like this year, US President Donald Trump has only sent short video messages to the participants of the conference each time in the past three years.
In the absence of leading American politicians, CPAC Hungary has in recent years become a meeting place for the European far right. Speakers at this year's conference include Alice Weidel, co-chair of Germany's AfD; Geert Wilders, leader of the Dutch Freedom Party; Herbert Kickl, president of Austria's FPÖ; and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. In addition to them, over the next two days, the speakers in Budapest will also include the failed British prime minister Liz Truss, the son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the conservative American influencer Ben Shapiro.
In his opening speech last year, Orbán said that “even if he wanted to, he couldn't tell a Hungarian court what is right,” and the year before that, he talked about “the Hungarian antidote to the deadly progressive virus.”
